Since 1989
Exodus Recovery, Inc. (Exodus) has been providing quality psychiatric and
chemical dependency treatment services to Southern California communities.
Beginning with the management of hospital based inpatient and outpatient
programs, Exodus eventually expanded into the operation of mental health
intensive outpatient clinics as a contractor with both the Los Angeles and San
Diego County Departments of Mental Health. In the last twenty years, Exodus has
developed and established several hospital based inpatient and outpatient
programs, a psychiatric and internal medicine provider group, and a behavioral
health managed care company. For the LA County Department of Mental Health,
Exodus has developed and implemented an Integrated Service Agency Program
(PARTNERS), an Adult Targeted Case Management Service Program, a Sidekicks
Co-Occurring Disorders Program, an AB2034 Program, and an Alcohol and Drug Medi-Cal
Contracted Program.
Also, through
LAC DMH and the California Mental Health Services Act expansion and
transformation, Exodus has developed and implemented additional Full Service
Partnership Programs, Wellness Center Programs, Field Capable Clinical Services
Programs and Psychiatric Urgent Care Centers. In San Diego County Exodus has
established and operates two Mental Health Walk-In Assessment Centers and a Full
Service Partnership Program.

our clients. Our concept of total health care incorporates the physical,
emotional, and spiritual needs of each client. Our program strives to create an
environment which promotes the dignity of all participating and to develop
services maximizing clients’ self-determination.

David Murphy,
MD, FACP
Dr. Murphy is
Corporate Medical Director and an inspiration to Exodus. He is Board Certified
in Internal Medicine, and a certified Addictionologist. Dr. Murphy is a pioneer
in the field of Addiction Medicine and over twenty years ago, initiated the
California Medical Board’s Physician Diversion Program. In addition, Dr Murphy
was instrumental in the development of a Dual Diagnosis treatment protocol at
all levels of treatment service; inpatient, outpatient and residential.

has over 25 years in healthcare experience including the management of acute
care hospitals, inpatient and outpatient programs, medical provider groups and
managed care organizations.
